2025 Total Grants: $38,000

$4,000 to ApSeed Early Childhood Education to support the distribution of ApSeed Touchpads to Lexington Area pre-k children at the South Lexington School and Developmental Center to prepare them for kindergarten.

$3,000 to Communities In Schools of Lexington Davidson County to support a program that builds positive relationships by providing a safe place to learn and grow, a healthy start and healthy future, a marketable skill to use upon graduation, and a chance to give back to the community.

$4,000 to Davidson Medical Ministries Clinic for DC Connect, a program linking residents to personalized resources through partnerships with over 60 community agencies. Offering case management, emergency financial assistance, Certified Peer Support Specialist services, and "Getting Ahead" classes, the program helps individuals transition from crisis to stability while addressing the social determinants of health.

$2,000 to Family Services of Davidson County to aid in purchasing updated kitchen essentials, small appliances, and groceries for the kitchen at the domestic violence shelter.

$2,500 to Home Solutions of Davidson County, NC to support individuals who do not qualify under strict state guidelines, providing minor home repairs and accessibility modifications to ensure safe, stable, and functional living environments.

$10,000 to J. Smith Young YMCA to support an all inclusive program for children in grades K-8 by serving children both inside and outside facility walls, reaching the maximum number of children in the community, and increasing efforts to provide access to healthy food.

$1,500 to Nazareth Children's Home to support teens struggling with addiction, providing a support group, education and treatment. It will also be a resource for schools to help students facing educational consequences for substance use.

$3,000 to Smart Start of Davidson County for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library (DPIL) initiative, providing free, developmentally-appropriate books to any enrolled children, ages birth through four. All children in this age range are eligible, regardless of income.

$5,000 to The Dragonfly House to support trauma-focused, evidence based mental health services to children who have experienced abuse or neglect in Davidson County.

$3,000 to The Life Center of Davidson County to provide high quality adult day care and health services to older and impaired adults, allowing caregivers to continue working and/or receive much needed respite.
