The York County Community Foundation was established in 1988 by local leaders to encourage philanthropy and secure resources to address local issues. The Foundation brings together charitable donors, community leaders and nonprofit organizations to make positive impacts throughout York County, South Carolina.
The Foundation has been awarding grants that support a wide variety of projects ranging from education programs to human services to youth initiatives. The Board of Trustees consists of local volunteers who know the community and its citizens’ needs, as well as the nonprofits, congregations and government and educational institutions responding to these needs.
The Board of Trustees is proud of the Foundation’s accomplishments and believe that with your help, we can keep building on the incredible foundation of philanthropy established by those who came before us. With continued support from our generous donors, the Foundation can increase our annual grantmaking, reach out to more local charities with larger gifts, and foster a spirit of philanthropy that will extend to future York County generations.
Past and present board members are encouraged to contribute to Give, Grant, Grow York County.
