Andre Newman

Andre Newman is Senior Vice President / Controller at Foundation for the Carolinas where he leads the foundation's accounting operations, month-end close, financial reporting, audit management, and internal control functions, helping ensure the integrity and transparency of the financial stewardship that supports the Foundation's mission. He partners closely with leadership to strengthen financial processes, enhance reporting, and provide strategic insights that support the Foundation's continued growth and service to donors, nonprofits, and the community.

Andre brings more than 25 years of accounting and finance leadership experience across nonprofit, healthcare, government contracting and private-sector organizations.  Before joining Foundation for the Carolinas, he held accounting, auditing and financial leadership roles at Amerit Fleet Solutions, Red Ventures, and Palmetto GBA, LLC.

Andre graduated from Presbyterian College, where he earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and Business Management and played collegiate basketball.  Andre also holds an MBA from Webster University and has been a Charlotte resident since 2010.
