Give Jewishly through FCJC

Rooted in the Jewish value of Tzedakah, the Foundation for the Charlotte Jewish Community helps individuals and families turn generosity into lasting impact. Since 1997, we have partnered with donors to strengthen Jewish life and support education, culture and community.

Through donor advised funds, endowments and legacy giving, we help you "give Jewishly" during your lifetime and beyond, distributing grants to support Jewish and non-Jewish charitable organizations.

Your partner in philanthropy

In partnership with Foundation for the Carolinas, we offer customized charitable solutions such as donor advised funds, agency funds, endowment management and philanthropic planning to amplify the impact of every charitable gift.

Stacey and Ira Slomka
"Our donor advised fund is a convenient and flexible tool to assist us with our charitable giving. We have such confidence in the FCJC team that we moved our fund from a commercial provider."

"Giving Jewishly is important to us and influenced our decision to move our donor advised fund from Fidelity to FCJC. Now, every recipient of our charitable giving sees our connection to the Jewish community."

The power of endowment

If you want to support nonprofits for the long term, an endowed FCJC fund may be a great fit. Endowments are designed to provide a permanent source of support, delivering funding to organizations year after year.

With an endowment, the original gift is preserved, and annual grants are made from the fund. For example, a $100,000 endowed fund awards approximately $4,250 in grants each year, based on the current spendable rate of 4.25 percent.

Support humanitarian aid

Many in our community are seeking ways to help those suffering the devastating effects of natural disasters, as well as offering continued support of Israel. Visit our humanitarian aid page for more information.
