Foundation For The Carolinas, Charlotte is Creative, Hue House and the Arts & Science Council have announced the Arts, Culture & Creativity Fund. With a total investment of $3 million from Mecklenburg County and the City of Charlotte, the grantmaking fund will directly invest in and impact individual artists/creatives, as well as arts, science and history nonprofit organizations experiencing COVID-related challenges.

Small businesses - such as retailers, salons, fitness studios and more - in neighborhoods all throughout Charlotte have received critical grant funding through the Access to Capital Program. Part of the City for Charlotte’s Open for Business initiative and administered by FFTC, the grants program has awarded $30 million in federal CARES Act funding to 2,466 diverse small businesses that were affected by the pandemic.

The Brave of Heart Fund has been established at E4E Relief, a subsidiary of FFTC, to support surviving families of healthcare workers who lose their lives to COVID-19 while caring for others. The New York Life Foundation and Cigna Foundation launched the fund with $25 million each in contributions. Other generous donors have joined the effort to support survivor families in need through the Brave of Heart Fund.
