A Bold Vision for an Equitable Charlotte

The Mayor's Racial Equity Initiative recently announced that it has surpassed its private-sector fundraising goal.

New corporate and foundation gifts push the private-sector donations to $157,525 million, surpassing the original $150 million private-sector goal. Including public-sector commitments, fundraising for the overall campaign now stands at $237 million toward the $250 million goal.

Fundraising for Arts and Culture

With local cultural nonprofits devastated by lost revenues due to the effects of the pandemic, FFTC was called to lead a campaign to raise $18 million from the private sector to match $18 million in City of Charlotte funding. Thanks to generous donors, the goal was exceeded, with $23 million raised for local arts and culture groups.

COVID-19 Response Fund – Final Impact Report

When COVID-19 changed all our lives in spring 2020, Foundation For The Carolinas and United Way of Central Carolinas launched a response fund to provide critical support to local nonprofits. A new comprehensive COVID-19 Response Fund report shares the results of this community-wide effort to help neighbors in need.
