FFTC Exceeds $50 Million Affordable Housing Goal

To address our community's affordable housing shortage, Foundation For The Carolinas led a $50 million private-sector fundraising campaign for the Charlotte Housing Opportunity Investment Fund. FFTC kickstarted the fund with a $5 million program-related investment, the largest of its kind in our history.

Supporting Our Carolina Neighbors

When Hurricane Florence hit the Carolina coast in September, thousands of residents were forced to flee the dangerous storm and were left with the daunting task of rebuilding. Foundation For The Carolinas created the Hurricane Florence Response Fund to offer relief to those in greatest need.

Panthers Sale Leads to $30 Million Gift for Springsteen Foundation

After the sale of the Carolina Panthers, minority owner Derick Springsteen Close contributed $30 million to the Springsteen Foundation, a donor advised fund held at FFTC. The money represented a sizeable percentage of the total proceeds that he realized from the sale of the team to David Tepper.
