$50,000 to Gaston Family Health Services to assist in the development and operation of two satellite community health center sites.

$10,000 to Diakonos (5th Street Ministries) for a registered nurse to provide services to shelter guests.

$10,000 to the Information and Referral Service of Iredell to support the Latino Outreach program.

$8,000 to HealthReach Community Clinic to assist in the funding of a licensed in-house pharmacy.

$8,000 to Mitchell Community College to implement the Dietetic Technician program.

$6,000 to Appropriate Placement Options, Inc. to fund the Re-entry Services program.

$5,000 to Futures for Kids, Inc. for the expansion of an online career exploration program.

$5,000 to Habitat for Humanity of Iredell-Statesville for the Home Repairs Ministry.

$5,000 to Hospice & Palliative Care to assist with the development and expansion of the Rainbow Kidz program, created to improve the lives of chronically and terminally ill infants and children.

$2,800 to the Piedmont Mediation Center to fund expenses related to the Truancy Mediation program.

$1,000 to Walter T. Morgan Service Foundation, Inc. for low-income students to participate in a life skills program.

On Course for Learning More Than Golf

The First Tee, a national organization providing young
people affordable access to golf, teaches participants how
to transfer values and life skills from the golf course to
everyday life.

The Iredell County Community Foundation awarded a $1,000 grant to the Walter T. Morgan Service Foundation, which operates The First Tee of Lake Norman Region, to provide scholarships for disadvantaged and special needs youth participating in the program.

$500 to the Lake Norman Orchestra
for its fifth anniversary concert and reception.
