Discover how nonprofits can influence policy locally and statewide.

Join the North Carolina Center for Nonprofits and Foundation For The Carolinas on March 15th before the Nonprofit Town Hall for an Advocacy Workshop. Workshop participants will have the opportunity to work in small groups to develop an advocacy strategy for their organizations, and answer these important questions:

  • What is lobbying?
  • Can nonprofits lobby?
  • How can I interact with my elected officials?
  • How can my organization weigh in on legislative actions that affect us?
  • What strategies are effective in talking with elected officials?
  • What difference will my voice make?
  • Can my Board of Directors be involved?
  • Will funders penalize my organization for advocacy efforts?

Cost to attend is $50 for NC Center for Nonprofits Members/Sustainers, and $60 for all others. Breakfast will be served. Please register at www.ncnonprofits.org/events/advocacy-workshops.
