Turner Family Scholarship Fund

Description:
Provides undergraduate college and vocational scholarships to graduating high school seniors in Mecklenburg County who intend to attend an accredited college or vocational school in Mecklenburg County.

Minimum Eligibility:

• Applicants must be graduating high school seniors and have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale).
• Applicants must be legal residents of Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
• Applicants must attend an accredited college or vocational school in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
• Preference is given to applicants who are children of National Welders Suppliers (NWS) employees if applicant’s parent was employed with NWS Airgas for two years prior to June 30, 2007.  No descendants of James A. Turner, founder of National Welders Supply Company, Inc. shall be eligible to receive a scholarship under the Fund.
