Jedidiah Gist, now a teacher at Charlotte’s Harding High School, was a recipient of the William Tasse Alexander Scholarship.

Grants are provided through numerous scholarship funds managed by the Foundation. Grants are available for public and private institutions at graduate and undergraduate levels as well as for private K-12 schools.
Foundation For The Carolinas currently administers 108 scholarship programs. In 2012 the Foundation awarded more than $1.5 million in scholarships to close to 700 students.
Scholarship funds are permanent endowments established by donors, usually in honor or memory of a loved one. For information about creating a scholarship fund, contact Philanthropic Advancement at 704.973.4500.

Estimated Family Contribution
Most applications require that students complete the Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Once the FAFSA is complete, you will receive, by email, your Student Aid Report (SAR) summarizing the information provided on the FAFSA. You will also receive an Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) number. If you have not completed or received your SAR by the application deadline, please use the EFC Calculator located on the College Boards' website to estimate your EFC.
