Donor Control

Because Supporting Foundations are separate legal entities with their own Boards, they retain control over the investments and grant distributions.

Foundation Investment Pools

Many times, Supporting Foundation Boards may want to utilize the Foundation's already-existing investment structure. Supporting Foundations may choose any type of investment structure with any manager. The Supporting Foundation Board will have oversight and fiduciary responsibility with regard to those investments.

Investment Choice

Donors may choose between any investment options listed for other Gift Funds - from mutual fund investments to Investment Alliance relationships. Please consult the Client Services Department for further information on investments for Supporting Foundations.
