$2,500 to Above and Beyond Students Inc. to build relationships between Latino & African American girls at Eastway Middle School through afterschool weekly sewing sessions where they can build trust by sharing traditions, experiences and stories.

$2,500 to Central Ave Bilingual Preschool (CABP) to bring together Hispanics of CABP & white community of Caldwell Presbyterian Church for a fence-raising festival - install fence, assist with playground cleaning and beautification and conduct outdoor maintenance.

$2,500 Centralina Area Agency on Aging to build trusting relationships between the health care community and the LGBT community by bringing them together for dialogue regarding diversity issues specific to the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered population

$2,500 to Charlotte Community School for Girls to create cross-cultural conversations between middle school diverse girls, by using fashion and design to explore their differences

$2,500 to Charlotte Mecklenburg Library for Lakewood Through My Eyes: a project where teens from Lakewood gain understanding & respect through shared experience of photography & sharing stories

$2,500 to Charlotte Symphony to build on existing program that brings together professional musicians with students at Winterfield Elementary School, by bringing parents of students into the program

$2,500 to Christ Lutheran Church - McClintock Partners in Education for Building Bridges: Class Matters and More Part II; a series of events for 100+ volunteers to better equip them with ability to build relationships across socio-economic differences

$2,500 to CrossRoads Corporation to bring Grier Heights community residents together to create neighborhood enhancements that make a positive impact on the community

$2,500 to FAVAR Ministries to bring together congregations, politicians, law enforcement & educational sector with those with a felony record to build understanding & educate

$2,500 to Florence Crittenton Services for an alumni reunion, building on alumni network from last year, bring alumni of Florence Crittenton together with current residents

$2,500 to International House to bring together diverse participants of language conversation hours for social interaction and practical language learning. Specifically targeting those in language hours other than English

$2,500 to Latin American Women's Association to bring together Latino families for academic and social development. Program includes tutoring, parenting sessions and dancing program.

$1,550 to Light Factory to bring together students from diverse backgrounds to engage in photography and media literacy program that explores gender roles, stereotypes & self-perception.

$2,500 to Mecklenburg Citizens for Public Education (MeckEd) to engage community groups in discussion and bus tour around history of Charlotte's public schools designed to explore tough topics of race and busing.

$2,500 to Metro School for developmentally disabled students of Metro School and students of Performing Learning Center (PLC) to collaborate and build meaningful relationships together through a photography project to build upon the current mosaic of the former Brooklyn neighborhood

$2,500 to Mint Museum for a multigenerational & multiracial event that allows dialogue among women and girls about ancestry, race, diversity and relationships

$2,500 to Muslim Women of the Carolinas to create a greater understanding for Islam and build trust between faith communities through presentation on the Hajj and a luncheon event at a later date where cultural aspects about Islamic way of life can be presented

$2,500 to Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation for a one day event at Frazier Park, connect families that are grieving for loss of child to celebrate life of child, build relationships and create support network

$2,330 to PTO, St. Patrick Catholic School to build on existing efforts and enhance relationship and connectedness between St. Patrick School in Dilworth and Brookstone School in West Charlotte by working together to create a garden at Brookstone

$2,500 to Refugee Support Services to bring together refugees for a night celebrating their birthdays where relationships are formed and deepened. This is a culmination event of a year's worth of work in building relationships

$2,500 to Shamrock Gardens PTA to conduct interactive dinners at the diverse Shamrock Elementary school in an effort to bring parents teachers and volunteers together to build relationships with each other around grade-level achievements

$2,500 to St. Peter's Homes, Inc./McCreesh Place for multiple bingo nights to bring together residents of McCreesh place (a homeless support shelter) and residents of Villa Heights neighborhood to build relationships by decreasing the stigma and misunderstanding of the homeless

$1,950 to Statesville Road Elementary to foster parental involvement in Statesville Rd Elementary school by hosting series of dinners for each grade level that bring diverse families to the school to make connections and build relationships.

$2,500 to Villa Heights Community Organization to bring the Villa Heights community and other partners together in getting to know each other through a series of beautification events (planning, designing, and landscaping) of shared space in Cordelia Park

$2,500 to Wadsworth House Foundation, Inc. to host four meetings that bring together people from Charlotte community to discuss stereotypes, how they impact our community and strategies to promote understanding
