Loaves & Fishes of Union County provides emergency food supplies to families in crisis. A $7,000 grant from the Union County Community Foundation will help fund the relocation, reorganization and consolidation of the food pantry.

$2,500 to American Red Cross for the Tops to Toes Emergency Wear in a Bag program.

$5,000 to Healthquest of Union County for the Pricking and Ticking program.

$7,000 to Hospice of Union County for professional job-related education and training.

$4,000 to Hospice of Union County for a children’s bereavement camp.

$1,000 to Junior Achievement of Central Carolinas to expand JA in the Union County schools.

$1,260 to Literacy Council of Union County for the Real Life Literacy Project.

$7,000 to Loaves & Fishes of Union County to purchase and disperse food and assist in a system update.

$800 to Metrolina Christian Academy to purchase large print trade books for the visually impaired.

$16,200 to The Arc of Union County for staff who assist adults with developmental disabilities.

$15,000 to Turning Point of Union County for general operating expenses.

$10,000 to the Union County Crisis Assistance Ministry to prevent mortgage foreclosures and rental evictions.

$5,200 to Union Diversified Industries, Inc. for a part time instructor for their Creative Fine Arts Program.

$15,000 to Wingate University to retain economically distressed students.

$1,600 to the YWCA of the Central Carolinas to purchase computers for the Willow Oaks and Maurice Green YWCA Youth Development sites.
