Scholarships

Jedidiah Gist, now a teacher at Charlotte’s Harding High School, was a recipient of the William Tasse Alexander Scholarship.

Grants are provided through numerous scholarship funds managed by the Foundation. Grants are available for public and private institutions at graduate and undergraduate levels as well as for private K-12 schools.

Foundation For The Carolinas currently administers 108 scholarship programs. In 2009 the Foundation awarded more than $1.8 million in scholarships to 900 students.

Scholarship funds are permanent endowments established by donors, usually in honor or memory of a loved one. For information about creating a scholarship fund, contact Development & Planned Giving at 704.973.4500.

Resources/Links
We recommend all students, regardless of financial need, inquire about scholarship opportunities available through the financial aid office at the institution they plan to attend. Students who have declared an academic major should also discuss scholarship availability with faculty and administration in their academic departments.
