The Hamlet Tree & Beautification Group provides education to the community about the care of trees. A $5,000 grant from The Cole Foundation will offset the cost of equipment for its tree nursery at Monroe Avenue Elementary School in Hamlet.
$40,000 to American Rivers to assist with the restoration of Hitchcock Creek.
$25,000 to Arts Richmond/Richmond County Arts Council, Inc. for renovation and construction of the catering and kitchen area.
$25,000 to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern Carolina to underwrite trucking and transportation costs of food delivery.
$12,000 to Friends of Hamlet for a multi-purpose youth sports field.
$30,000 to Friendship Trays to fund daily meals for low income recipients.
$2,996 to the Hamlet Historic Depot for Voices of the Rail, a project to preserve the history of railroading in Richmond County.
$5,000 to Hamlet Tree & Beautification Group to purchase equipment for a tree nursery.
$1,841 to North Carolina Coastal Pines Girl Scouts to assist in funding Richmond teens' participation in the North Carolina Youth Congress.
$50,000 to Our Daily Bread Food Ministry for the Randolph Street roofing project.
$62,000 to the Richmond Community College Foundation to support the expense of bringing the Broadway Musical Annie to Richmond County.
$10,000 to the Richmond County Literacy Council for general operating support.
$10,000 to Richmond County Tourism Development Authority to fund office furnishings in new facility.
$25,000 to Samaritan Colony for purchase of land and halfway house.
$150,000 to Sandhills Children’s Center to assist with the establishment of the Rockingham Campus.
$7,200 to Special Olympics – North Carolina to expand sports offerings in Richmond County.
